Roads and Infrastructure

Bunya is responsible for the design and construction of integrated regional roads, including landscape and infrastructure, with an approximate length of 25 Kilometres on Al Reem Island, which interconnects various districts within Al Reem Island.

Regional Roads and Infrastructure Works

Improving Road Access, Public Realm, and Utility Networks Across Al Reem Island

Regional Roads and Infrastructure in Tamouh North

The ongoing project will deliver 5.3 km of roads connecting Al Reem Island, Al Maryah Island, and downtown Abu Dhabi, including 15 traffic signals, 126,000 m² of public realm and landscaping, cycle tracks, pedestrian walkways, and major utility infrastructure.

Road Extension and Mitigations

Extension and mitigations to the existing regional roads connecting the Reem Hills development (Phases 1 and 2), including public realm improvements, traffic signals, utilities, and associated networks.

Al Reem Island-Wide Transportation Master Plan Study

Updating the previously approved transportation master plan for Al Reem Island, considering recent development master plan changes.

Future Mobility and Community Infrastructure

Enhancing connectivity, accessibility, public transport, and emergency services across Al Reem Island.

Junction Mitigations Along Um Yifeenah Street

Provision of grade-separated junctions to improve road network capacity, regional connectivity, and uninterrupted free-flow traffic along major regional roads on Al Reem Island.

Civil Defense and Police Stations

The facility is strategically planned in a central location on Al Reem Island to support rapid and efficient emergency response while providing balanced operational coverage for surrounding residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Cycle Track for Al Reem Island

Bunya is implementing cycle tracks across Al Reem Island in line with DMT’s Cycling Master Plan, achieving a total circulation length of 25km.

Surface Car Parking

Studying the implementation of surface car parking within densely populated areas of Al Reem Island.

Bus Shelters

As per ITC’s requirements, Bunya will implement the installation of air-conditioned bus shelters at designated bus stops across Al Reem Island.
