Bunya is responsible for the design and construction of integrated regional roads, including landscape and infrastructure, with an approximate length of 25 Kilometres on Al Reem Island, which interconnects various districts within Al Reem Island.

Regional Roads and Infrastructure Works
Improving Road Access, Public Realm, and Utility Networks Across Al Reem Island
Regional Roads and Infrastructure in Tamouh North
Will deliver 5.3km of roads connecting Al Reem Island, Al Maryah Island, and Abu Dhabi downtown, including 15 traffic signals, 126,000m² of public realm and landscaping, cycle tracks, pedestrian walkways, and major utilities infrastructure.
Road Extension and Mitigations
Extension and mitigations to the existing regional roads connecting the Reem Hills development (Phases 1 & 2), including public realm, traffic signals, utilities, and associated networks.
Al Reem Island-wide Transportation Master Plan Study
Update the previously approved transportation master plan for Al Reem Island, considering recent development master plan changes.

Junction Mitigations Along Um Yifeenah Street
Provision of grade-separated junctions to improve road network capacity, regional connectivity, and uninterrupted free-flow traffic along major regional roads on Al Reem Island.
Public Transport
Supporting Sustainable and Efficient Transport Across the Island
Surface Car Parking
Bunya is working alongside with DMT to study requirements for adding surface car parking in Al Reem Island.
Cycle Track for Al Reem Island
Bunya is implementing the cycle routes/ tracks in the entire Al Reem Island as per DMT’s cycling master plan. Currently, the design of new cycle tracks and extensions of existing cycle tracks is in the final stages. With this implementation, Al Reem Island will have a circulation length of 25 km of cycle tracks.
Installation of Air-conditioned Bus Shelters
In order to facilitate the commuters utilizing public transport/ bus services, and as per ITC’s request, Bunya will implement the provision/ installation of air-conditioned bus shelters at all the designated bus stops at various locations within Al Reem Island.
Community Safety Facility
Enhancing Emergency Response Coverage Across Al Reem Island
Civil Defence Station
The facility is strategically planned within a geographically central zone on Al Reem Island to ensure a rapid and efficient emergency response, providing balanced operational coverage for surrounding residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
