The service operates within Al Reem Island and connects to several key destinations across Abu Dhabi, including Al Maryah Island, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, and selected routes serving Zayed International Airport, subject to service availability in the Uber app.
How do I book a driverless taxi?
Booking is simple through the Uber app. Select the Autonomous ride option, where available. Alternatively, request an UberX or Uber Comfort ride. If an autonomous vehicle is available for your route, you may be matched with a WeRide driverless taxi.
How much does it cost?
Driverless taxi fares are the same as standard UberX and Uber Comfort fares, with no additional charge for choosing an autonomous vehicle.
What should passengers expect?
The fully autonomous vehicles use advanced artificial intelligence together with LiDAR, radar, and multiple cameras to navigate safely without a human driver. Each vehicle can accommodate up to five passengers and is continuously monitored through dedicated support systems to help ensure a safe and reliable journey.
