Completion of New Bridges Connecting Al Reem Island to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12)

The completion of the new bridges connecting Al Reem Island to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12) marks a significant milestone in enhancing Abu Dhabi’s transportation network. The bridges provide direct access to Saadiyat Island, improving connectivity, easing traffic movement, and reducing travel times for residents, businesses, and visitors across the emirate.

The project is designed to accommodate up to 7,200 vehicles per hour, reducing peak travel times by up to 60%, equivalent to approximately 15 minutes, while significantly improving traffic flow and accessibility for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The 1.5-kilometre development features dedicated pedestrian and cycling paths, landscaped public spaces, modern street lighting, and a dedicated freight U-turn bridge connecting Zayed Port and Saadiyat Island, further enhancing logistics efficiency, connectivity, and road safety.

The successful completion of this project reflects Bunya’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that support sustainable urban development, enhance mobility, and contribute to Abu Dhabi’s long-term growth and prosperity.
